2020 Inspiration | Caroline Archer | Singapore Expat Women

Q: Can you tell us a little about you and how long have you been living in Singapore? How long have you been a SEW member?

Hi Everyone, I came to the little red dot about 8 years ago when my husband got a job here. I'm originally from the UK and moved our family over not expecting to stay this long! I was lucky enough to find work quickly and now we have our own recruitment company called TenTen Partners. Something that probably wouldn't have been achievable in the UK.

I cant actually remember when I joined SEW but it was a while ago and it has certainly helped me with recommendations, friendships and all kinds of help over the years.

Q: What was the best thing about 2019?

We did part of the Camino Way in Northern Spain, our first walking holiday as a family with some friends. It showed how resilient my kids are and bonded us as a family. Will definitely be doing more of that this year.

Q: What was the one thing you didn’t like about 2019? How have you learnt from this?

Overextending ourselves both in work and socially. I plan on being more forthright and saying no more often!

Q: What are your resolutions for 2020 and how do you plan to follow through with them?

Sorry, didn't make any resolutions. I'm more about life goals which go from year to year such as being grateful for what I have and looking for the positive in every situation. Oh and reducing my use of plastic, I'm very worried about my kids future as the biodiversity reduces due to human activity.

Q: Lastly, what the best thing you love about SEW?

The fact that the members are responsive and willing to help, it makes for a real support network and source of information.
